A climate solution that looks compelling in a proposal can still fail in practice if it is not designed around the specific environmental, economic and social conditions of the place it is meant to serve. Practical design starts with understanding those conditions directly, rather than importing a model that worked elsewhere and hoping it transfers.

This is one of the reasons a disciplined approach — understanding a context before designing a response, and measuring outcomes before scaling — matters as much as the ambition behind a project itself.
